Getting all emotional

The last four days have been lonely. Just one of those moments I suppose. Have you ever just felt like being cuddled, sweet talked and just melting in an emotional something? I think sometimes we get carried away with work, responsibilities and lots of other things and forget to just take a lazy minute to receive some TLC.

We wear the ‘I am strong, cannot let emotions control my life’ armour and go about our business. Then one day you sit back and think may be you need to drop the guards and get all emotional and vulnerable. Of course those in newfound love won’t give me an Amen. But I ‘hope someone there knows what I am talking about.

This is how I have been feeling over the last couple of days. Then as I was going through my stuff I found this old poem I wrote for my first love (puppy love) seven years ago.Gosh!I could swear it wasn’t me. I can not believe all the love I was capable of back then. Do ask me to write a love poem now and it will probably take a month to get three verses.(must also have something to do with dating guys who dont appreciate/understand poetry...)

This only goes to show the reality of heartbreak. Gene with each piece gone, a part of you disappears as you learn how to give less and less. God help the poor man who finally marries a tattered heart.

Enjoy it and feel free to adapt it with copyrights

Do you remember?

Do you remember the sparkle in our eyes
When cupid’s arrow stroke,
When the sky seemed no limit,
When the days and nights seemed endless?

Do you remember the throb of our hearts
When our bodies made the first touch,
When the passion flowed in our veins,
When the stream seemed endless?

Do you remember the thrill of our whole?
When our lips passionately intertwined,
When nothing else seemed alive,
When our names were all we whispered?

Do you remember the magic of our laughter?
When dreams and wishes were a reality,
When everything turned to gold with merely touch,
When hope knew no bounds,

Do you remember?
