Sparkling white wine and Indian delicacies
So there was no wild party with the girls…but still the day did not go without ceremony. One amazing thing is that I share the birthday with one of my gals, so we decided to make the day extra special for ourselves seeing that no one was gona throw us a party.
So it was just the two of us, warming our way to another number.
First it was a movie (Dream Girls) to lift our spirits.
Then off to Atithee Indian Restaurant along Akii Bua road. Quite a romantic place highly recommended for romantics, pity we had no warm broad shoulders to lean against.
Nevertheless it was wonderful to spoil ourselves with sparkling white wine and Indian delicacies (the pepper was just right thankfully) with soft music playing in the background.
We laughed about the ironies of life and flashed back to memories of our birthday back in the good old secondary and University school days. There was always something to muse over.
There was this time we gave the whole class sodas in order to keep up with the person who had given chocolates just before us. Birthdays then were a competitive affair as each person tried to impress by distributing something to the whole class. From one kenafric sweet, to two, then elairs, lollipops, chocolates, biscuits and finally sodas. No one ever beat our record.
