My lips are sealed
Ok, so today I feel like having a moment with my keyboard.
So I am thinking, how do you weave your way around telling an acquaintance that the thing they believe is great is not all that. This I must say still eludes me especially when I see the person’s eyes shinning with joy at the prospect that you were impressed.
Am I a goody goody? No way, I am far bolder than that; this is why such a thing puzzles me. I think it is easier to tell your friends about their shortcomings than the not so close people for fear that you will be thought insensitive.
Sometime back I sat thru a Ugandan movie whose every scene sent embarrassment shocks down my spine. All I could do was clutch my neighbours hand (a friend who shared the same feelings) and say oh no, how can this be so not that good. Now the problem was that we couldn’t dare tell the people who were involved with the movie.
Then there is this other acquaintance whose sense of style drives me crazy but I won’t dare breath a word. All I do is take one glance and hope tomorrow it will be better.
Oh! what about the guy who has been forgetting to put deodorant on his shopping list for the last two years ? Need I mention the other one whose breath makes you want to bare your breakfast for all to see?
It just seems so hard to point out some of these things. Makes me sometimes wonder what I may be doing wrong but cannot be told by another person who is just like me.
But like they say; what you don’t know does not hurt you, so we all live happily ever after.

I happen to be involved in a Ugandan movie, which will be having it's official premiere on June 1st at the Garden City Cineplex. If you have seen a screening and you think it's a hazard to your psyche,Come on hit me. I am a big boy.

Savage's movie rocks. I mean, ain't never seen it, but the cover was an impressive thing. And I haven't heard any - not even these opinionated couch pros - saying anything against it.
But that is Sav. He is different - not all Ugandan film-makers are good, and many make me squirm. But the same applies to some Hollywood ones.

@ savage, man u are lucky it wasnt your movie.I haven't yet seen yours but when i do,i will try to be honest.
For now i will trust 27th on this one,mst be great.I hope the whole gangster thing is not over board though.
What i have noticed with the Ug film industry is that they get one thing right and fail another, for instance get technical part ok,sound picture, but the plot totally suffers and vice versa.
I wanna act in a local movie soon but dread to have my credits on some sloppy over hyped movie so am hanging on.
If i love your movie savage, how about lining me up for auditions in your next one hmmmmm...

@country boy;unless you have a natural good body scent, there is a danger of fallin in that bracket so man better investigate. besides, there are even deos that have mild scents for ple who dont like the strong smell.
